is there anyway to know how old or what sort of francis barnett i have i was given the bike by my dads freind but it has not been registered for 30 yrs all i have is the bike and reg number which starts yz then three numbers

you could try and post a pic, or try and find the engine no and frame no,some members may be able to work out from that,if you are going to rebuild this machine , would you not be better to join the club? you would get a lot of useful tips on how to do a lot of work your self,

Would the DVLA tell you what it was even if that reg is no longer valid. I phoned to see if mine was still in use and they were quiet helpful
